Floating illusion

HOW

1. Two people are needed for this experiment.
2. Stand on the platform facing the higher part of the model, so that one leg is on one side of the mirror and the other on the opposite side.
3. Lift your leg from the side of the mirror, lean forward and spread your arms.
4. The other person has to stand a few metres away on the side of the mirror to tell you what they observe. Let them find the place from which the effect is best seen.
5. Photo time!

WHY

The mirror means an observer standing in the right place can see two raised legs instead of one.
