Kaleidoscope

HOW

1. Position the kaleidoscope so that the field of view is evenly illuminated.
2. Slowly rotate the kaleidoscope around its axis.
3. Observe the changing view. Note its symmetry.

WHY

The arrangement of mirrors inside the kaleidoscope makes you see more objects than are actually placed inside. It is also responsible for the symmetry of the resulting image.
